Replace one or both AVCS inlet cam gears, inspect and clean OCV solenoids, option to do timing belt kit at the same time if you're due or so inclined.

Since there's no CEL and little affecting drivability, how necessary is a fix at all?

Logging schedule edit:

Parameters: revs, speed, L&R VVT angle, L&R OCV duty (optional)
warmup & steady idle (as per factory AVCS diagnostic instructions)
induce 1400rpm vibration
drive at below 80Kph or less (as per factory AVCS diagnostic instructions)
cruise at 100kph @ 6th, 5th, 4th gears.

Any suggestions?

I've been advised by the extremely heavy hitters that it can wait till my next service in 3000kms when my timing belt is done to save cost.

Doesn't sound life threatening. :)

I'm through logging. After logging for nearly 6 months I don't want to see another excel spreadsheet.

Will leave it to the more enthusiastic looking for answers. You. :D

Mick has logged my car and showed me the pretty graphs and even sent me the link to the part.

I'm now to do my bit and buy said part, have it installed and live happily ever after.

Might order the parts after confirmation this is all I need from the extra heavy hitters.

May then bring the next service forward a few thousand kms.

I can't live with stuff like this around me...

Received a response from the extremely heavy hitters.

Do both inlet at the same time.

That's all that needs done. Stop stuffing around with solenoids etc. They're not the problem.

And put that Tactrix down and step away from the laptop......

Over and out...

I have to agree (heard an intermittent chattering noise from LH inlet cam gear area).
Both sides: do it right.
Adjustable exhaust cam gears: if baller... 8)
