gday people,a friend of mine has bought an 07 lib spec b wagon and as its dead stock would like to know the best way to modify.
What size exhaust is best and where to get it tuned in Tassie?Or remote tune?

Anything easy to make this car go harder reasonably cheaply would be awesome people.

3" dump, 3" centre with a 3" muffler and 2.5" y-pipe iirc, then some free flowing mufflers.
As for tune, can't go past a Kido tune by Matt (remote tune)

My complete intake system is for sale...Turbo, top mount, boost controller, modified OE air box. etc……. you missed out on the exhaust

ease up there buddy. A lot of other people have lives on the weekends including myself and this is the first time Ive see your thread.

I concur with imania. Great option for exhaust sizing for the GTB's. Next would be the TMIC. The stock ones are a bit on the small side and are prone to heat soak if pushed hard. Then tune. +1 for KiDo tuning by Matt.

Or to give a better idea of the stock potential, go the tune first!
Factory tune doesn't do the base car any justice at all.
Then zorst etc and retune...

Senator,my mate only had his bus for a month or so and isn't real keen on bigger turbo and all that jazz yet but exhaust woulda been good.


Yea shav,i'm a bit impatient at times but after going for a ride in his bus and talking to him about it he's keen to get some idea of where to head for a bit more grunt.
Myself i'm more a v8 straight line grunt sorta car but this thing was great for a factory car and handled pretty damn good too.Plus the police cant hear you coming and don't suspect ya anyway,haha.

What a stock one do the quarter in just for interests sake??

I couldnt tell ya what a stock one does down the 1/4. Would be interesting to find out.

True. Off the line these things get up and boogie. The little turbo is pretty good for that.

Been a while since i've been on here and my mates car is still stock but he's got it booked in for an exhaust soon,he wants to know if a cold air intake is worth doing and where to source a good one if they are worth doing? Any price ranges would be good too if anyone can help.

He has roughly $3500 to spend on it so i'm guessing exhaust will be probably close to $1000 fitted so any more suggestions with approximate prices would be sweet

If it was a holden v8 i'd be able to help him myself but seeing as i don't know a much about subi's any help is much appreciated

Do the zorst properly: 3" TBE eg invidia dump from PSR + custom mufflered mid pipe + any decent muffs, a good top mount intercooler, eg Perrin, AVO, inlet side silicone to throttle body, a Dw65c pump and one of Matts tunes.

Intake not really required at this power level.

Should be able to do all that on the budget .

Forget cai. Just do a panel filter upgrade if you want. Minimal gain if any other than induction noise.

Full Tbe If you can afford it. But would need more than 1k to do that I would have thought. Can get invidia dump from a member by the name of T-REXX.

Cheers fellas,i'll let him know not to worry bout the cold air for now and go with the exhaust and see if he wants to do the cooler while he's at it. I would myself and i'll try and sus out some top mount intercoolers for him too Dw65 is a fuel pump i take it?
