I'm looking for a 2.5GT and this one has been listed on car-sales for a little while in the ACT (Acton):

I'm in Melbourne and it's a long way to go just to find it's been peppered by hail or something like that...
A bit of a pain to try and arrange a remote inspection at one of the 2 Subaru dealers up there.

Manaz, You're welcome to it if you can get there. That one seems to have been listed for a while, maybe a few months. Which does make me start to wonder... Although the mileage (kilometerage?) is not ideal. Could Just be ;'cause it's in the ACT. There's a reasonable GT for sale here in VIC, but it's in Morewell which is a couple of hours away. Thtat wouldn't be so bad , but I really would prefer not a black one.

Most low mileage ones go real quick in Melbourne. I've seen 3 listed recently which have sold in less than a week.

Oh well at least I've got approval for the finance and from the Missus, now I've just got to find the right car.

Auto/Manual/Auto/Manual. I've agonised over this for a while. Trying to be logical, the decision has come down auto as I've had it with commuting by train and driving in traffic is easier in an auto. I drove to work in a manual for 9 years (42 sets of lights one way) and clutches get tiresome and wear out (o.k. it was a manual VN commodore).

Up until last week I was driving an '83 ALFA (manual of course) and an Auto Forester. Yes the manual was the most fun car I've ever owned but then cruising in the Forester was just so much easier. Manual for playing, auto for getting from point A to point B.

Two other items against Coyote's car:

1. The Minster for finance would go ballistic if she saw all the mods (she's on to me about the turbo) and would cause a visit from the Minister for War.

Just bear in mind the car in the link should’ve had the timing belt, belt tensioner and all pulleys replaced by the 4 year mark…… it’s a costly service if it hasn’t already been completed.

I don’t agree with the last point in his comment field about belts not having to be done until the 125k mark, its either 4 years or 112 or 125k…….. being a car from Canberra I assuming he spent a lot of time traveling outside of Canberra…… who wouldn’t
