Hood scoop mesh??

i was talking to a guy earlier on and he said it would be worth my while to get some mesh put in my stock hood scoop for my GTB...
my question is, is anyone else using them??? and would be a good idea??

No real gain, just catch the leaves which would otherwise sit on your intercooler. its alot easier to just pull the leaf off once a month when you check your fluid levels.. You rarely get stuff going in the hood scoop.
