I have just picked up a Subaru my07 with the sti tunning, unfortunately the engine cover has been removed. Does anyone know if there is another way to determine what number out 300 it is. It's a black wagon auto

I was about to say that there's a badge near the shifter, but after further research it looks like Facelift cars do not have that (pre-facelift ones definitely do though).
I can plug the VIN into the Subaru Parts Software I have at home, if you want to msg me your VIN. I'm not 100% sure if that comes up with the x/300, but it shows all sorts of the other Info (paint and interior colour code etc), so it could be worth a try
