So.. technically I have you know.. an MY07 Liberty GT-B .. but only a few days ago did have an STi 2.5L engine rebuild with a Tuned by STi ECU mapping wacked on top of the mods.. does that count? :b

Does the engine have a designated limited edition number? Ie - ### / 300?

But I reckon owning a STi is more than just wacking on STi parts or engine (ie- brakes, spoiler, ECU, etc). I dunno, fo me it's gotta be a STi from birth. Anyone else adding onto a GT or GT-B is still a GT or GT-B at the core with STi wannabe parts. Other STi owners on here may feel differently though.

hah I agree with ya as well Jim.

It'll never be considered a real STi on top of missing the the brakes, alloys, extra cosmetic parts etc.

But to me, it won't attract any attention, especially since I have the stock BOV wacked back in.. and already I know it gives a few unspecting peeps a run for it's money

Yeah, please start another thread with this mod! Sounds interesting considering there's no such thing as a STi engine in Oz, so it's either from a WRX or a JDM Legacy STi engine.
