A while back i purcahsed a AVO turbo pipe and pod intake with heat shield. i found that due to the bi xenon headlights being a bit longer at the back the shield didnt fit right. and due to the misses moaning about the induction noise i sold the intake and shield but kept the turbo pipe. as i never got the adapter for the turbo pipe to maf pipe included i could not have the turbo pipe on with the stock box. so i placed it on the shelf untill recently. i purchased the MAF pipe From AVO and got the steel adapter to link the two. this did not work well. After a lot of screwing around trying to adjust it, it still did not fit. As im a mechanic id like to think all iv done is correct. below are pics of the drama. I know there are guys out there that have the same bits. Are yours fitting right? did you have dramas? do the parts look different in some way. i have sent avo a email but no response.

The stock turbo inlet pipe does not come out that far, and the coolant reservoir hoses would normally be resting on the stock afta-maf hose, not the turbo inlet pipe.
So your AVO turbo-inlet pipe needs to be trimmed back or something?

looking at it more carefully, it looks like the maf hose might be the wrong one or the intake hose are too long where it meet with the maf hose and pushing it back

I should not have to trim it, it should bolt straight up, but your right it sticks out to far now that iv had anouther look at the instructions.THere is no way that it can be moved inwards more theres no room.

man they are some massive clamps for intake pipe...

got a response from AVO there respone is to trim it by 10mm on the turbo pipe and 5mm on the MAF there reason is some times they are cut to long. that great quality control. they cahrge enough as it is then you have to mod it yourself pretty slack. im just going to order the perrin pipes

have you tried to switch the maf hose ends around?

got anouther call form AVO. ther solution was to cut the steel reducer from the turbo pipe to the MAF in half and place the small ring inside the MAF pipe then place the whole maf pipe in the turbo pipe and only use one clamp. seemed to work but a lot of screwing around for a "OEM replacement part" think ill still ordere the perrin

Good call. Go the Perrin.

I can assure you it will fit with no cutting/trimming what have you. As you can see mine. Was an easy install and fitted perfectly.

I use to have the AVO turbo inlet pipe on my car as well. Never fit up properly and had to be trimmed slightly at the MAF pipe end to fit. Was still a terrible fit. Took it out and put oem turbo pipe back it.
I agree with OP, after paying $300+ for a product, shouldn't have to trim and play around with it to fit. I would get Perrin pipe like Bass, if I were to do it again, that fitment looks spot on.
Have had other AVO products that never fit properly as well.
