Hi Guys,

This happened to me today, the only odd thing is. My car starts and seems to run fine?

I got out of a meeting this morning, hop into my car. I get the message "Run Mode Change System Check" the battery light is illuminated as is the (!) light and the ABS light. Whenever i touch the accelerator the, radio cuts out, all the internal lights cut out and the ABS light flashes. Also, when i take my foot off the accelerator and it idles, the battery light goes off and the radio and internal lights come back on again? I'm assuming it's going in and out of limp mode?

I'm hoping it's the case of a new battery - if so, can anyone recommend a good battery for me to purchase and where I can get one over the weekend in Melbourne?

Thanks

Scott

Have you tried keeping the revs above 2.2k for a little bit.

Say 30 secs?

If the car is ok at idle, but not happy being revved, sounds more like an alternator issue.

I could be totally off the mark tho...

You were bang on mate, ordered a second hand replacement from Lucas Automotive in Melb and runs like a dream now.

Cheers
