At the risk of beating a dead horse.....most makers have springs painted a solid colour, and signify different ratings with one or two (or even three) dabs or stripes of other colours. The rear units I have , have two dabs on the solid black - one pinkish, one white (IIRC)...This is the info I am seeking to verify...

You wouldnt even have to jack it up to look. Its multi-link rear, get under it with a torch ffs.

Not so easy just looking underneath...dirty coils, dont know where the dabs are. Jacked it up finally, wiped down the spring - mauve and red dabs, same as new ones...so in they went. Biggest issue was lifting the floor cover between the seet backs and the spare cover - how the (%&^%( do you get the plastic plugs out???
A small issue re-aligning the new shock eye to the hole in the hub, but got both sides done in maybe 1.5 hrs.
Fronts next week. Does anybody know the spec for the nuts for the shock top and the 2 bottom bolts to the hub please? Nothing given in the parts book.
Edit 18/Feb - big bolts are M14x1.5. Top are much smaller, probably M8x1.25, easy to get. Not visible what makes them 'self locking' as described in the WSM - not nylocs that I can see.
