Hey,

Just wondering if my Process West CAI from a Impreza WRX STI MY08 will suit a MY07 Liberty GT-B?

Should fit, your AFM will bolt into the provision. The heat shield probably wont fit but nothing a bit of lube and Tom Jones cant fix.

Will also have the check the diameter of the pipe is the same as your OEM one.

What about the actually inguard POD? Is the area in the guard similar size?
Do i need to retune the car after the airtake or should it be ok?

Yeah they are actually very similar in that part of the bay, im skeptical about the heat sheild fitting but theres a big gaping hole which you will fit the filter down.

Heres mine :

It was very nice and cool before i had the FMIC. The hot-side FMIC pipes run right under it now so it gets pretty hot. I really need to extend it further down and shield the piping :(

EDIT: Just comparing the WRX pic and mine, the surrounding configuration of bolt holes ect looks pretty good, i think your in with a chance of the heat shield working.

Looks good mate, what intake is that?
I think mines much longer and will go straight into the guard, need to see what the shield will fit in...

Mines a SPT from Subaru USA. Its like a small Subaru aftermarket accessory mob run by Subaru themselves. Pretty decent priced stuff.

I ordered a Subaru SPT heat shield to go with an SPT intake (when i had this on my car). They accidentally sent me the WRX heat shield and it didn't fit mine for what's it worth. However, I have the prefacelift liberty. Can't help with your original intake question though!

Lol they don't seem to be very good with the orders!

They didnt send me the Liberty "S" shaped one but the WRX GD one. Didnt matter, all same AFM. It actually was better as you can see it goes right into the gap. I was happy, just needs extending!

I know this is a bit of an old post... but I'm pretty sure the MAF sensors are different - if you hook the GT-B's MAF sensor into the process west intake made for the MY08 STI, the MAF will be facing the wrong way...
