Fuel Filter?

Hey kids,
Is the fuel filter a servicable item in the GT-B ?
According to the workshop manual, it seems to imply replacement of the whole assembly?
Learn me.

The filter is quite a large assembly (and a bit awkward to get to) in the gen4 libs as when Subaru launched the gen 4's they decided it was a lifetime filter. After growing a brain with the 06 models and onwards they decided it should be changed every 125,000kms.
Genuine parts is $92.55 from memory which includes the filter and 4 orings.

Oh anyway, to answer your question, no it is just the filter and orings which require replacement. You need to remove the fuel pump assembly from the tank then strip it down to get the filter out.

I think they charge about 45 mins - 1 hour.
