Factory combined is around 10.5 l/100km. If you do mostly city driving and like to give it a squirt then 12.5 l/100km is probably normal.

In a 6MT I get as low as average 7.6kpl on a long trip.

Around town I averaged 12.5kpl (50/50 mix of normal and very enthusiastic driving ;)).

Since dump pipe and latest tune it seems to be averaging closer to 11kpl and I have been giving it plenty of stick..

So I am a little bit puzzled looking at my post above and how good my fuel economy was and that I am now averaging between 14-17L/100klms. I am definitely not driving any harder, the only thing that has changed that I can put it down to is I do a lot more shorter trips like up the road to the shops and driving to work is shorter and heavy city driving. After recently doing an oil change and UEC I am averaging 17.4L/100klms over about 200klms around town. Any ideas? Could an o2 sensor be the culprit? I always run premium and fuel injector cleaner with every oil change.

When was the last time you replaced the O2 sensors and spark plugs?

o2 sensor to my knowledge have never been replaced now @ 150K klms. In saying that I am currently logging/testing them and so far they look like they are operating within range 0-1v as expected.

Spark plugs were done early at 95K so they are 55K old.

I have just re-flashed my ECU to a different tune and getting 14.4ltrs in 'I' mode which is higher than it should be. Only symptom is that the idle fluctuates a bit (and stays high after I take my foot off accelerator sometimes for several seconds or until I blip the throttle).
