Experiencing a similar kinda problem, but not quite.

I cannot switch between trip A&B, nor can I reset the trip reading. I thought the [Info/Set] button on the steering wheel might be stuffed, but it still works (still cycles through the doors/boot opened warning when engine off). Any idea what could have made it go wonky?

Only thing I've done lately is put in the new HKS filter from Phat (and yes, I've been hard on the throttle because I enjoy that spooling sound ). Also, I've only been using my car once a week for the past 2 months, and only noticed this issue when I went to fill up the car and couldn't reset the trip.

Your ECU might be running a little rich trying to compensate for the extra air…… or your using too much throttle cause your enjoying the spooling sound….. :D :D

Are you pushing the little knob below the fuel gauge....that's what switches between A and B, and you hold it in to reset.
Info button on the steering wheel does not come in to play...

Dammit! I knew it!!!

As I was posting that I was thinking to self.... "I hope this is not from my lack of use of the car and so forgot how to use it"

Thanks Keiran.

*runs and hide in corner*

Edit: Glad I didn't start a new topic after searches turned up nothing. phew!

Thanks and merry christmas to you and everyone too.

Going to be taking the car for a little 10 days trip away... can't wait!

Oh, forgot to mention, have been averaging above 500kms on a tank so far. Will see what this trip averages.

Okay I drove Sydney to Melbourne and back along the Hume, with some local driving around Melbourne.

'S' mode the whole time and no speeding with 'normal' driving style - I was not trying to save fuel at all. All fuel was 98RON.

over 2000km I averaged 8.2l / 100km.

Hey all,

The gague in my auto usually reads about 11.2-11.4L/100kms - Thats using 'S' Mode, and occasionally 'S#'. Usually driving about 10% above posted limits, and on the odd occassion giving it some stick off of the lights...

I go through a tank in about 5-6 days, because work is about 45mins from home on a 100kph highway (Canning Vale to Midland on Roe highway).

Have had consumption as good as 600km in a tank using 95RON with 'normal/cautious' driving, during a normal week (home-work-home...+ general trips) which only left about 1.5L left in the tank (i was strapped for money that week)...

But usually ill fill up around the 500km out of the tank mark, leaving about 5-8L (depending on my driving)

(Im in perth, and i dont work in the city, so i dont get stuck in major traffic on the freeway)

I have an average of 9.0 over 7000km after fitting my exhaust and tune, was almost 11 prior to that.

OK, some figures...

2,289.1 kms, averaged at 9.0L/100km

Best average figure whole trip was 8.0L/100km between towns

S# mode only once when trying to pull out of a servo along the highway, but S mode the rest of the time - even when overtaking roadtrains and caravans (so much fun that I've totally forgot about S#, would have been even more fun *sigh*)

Hows this for win.. car on the right --->

Melb to Gold Coast (return)

4600km, avg consumption 7.8L.

I drive our in 's' mode most of the time, and s# when I am bored. Very very rare for me to use I as i find it worse for consumption.

I know it's an old thread up just an update on my fuel consumption for a trip to QLD and back..
Filled up Sydney Friday (Shell Dundas), traveled up to Forster/Tuncurry - local area - and then on the Sunday up to my brothers on the Sunshine Coast.

Got to Ballina on that tank. 776.6km - 55.32Litres. Trip computer was telling me I had 120km left out of the tank and the light came on when I gave it a little bootful leaving Woodburn (50k to a 100k zone, 35km south of Ballina)

This tank got me to Palmwoods (my brothers - 301km), drove around 250km of the Sunshine Coast up to Noosa, Marchooydore, Coolum Beach etc and a trip down to Brisbane from Palmwoods. (667.4km 50.32Litres)

After filling the Brisbane tank - drove back to my brothers, and out to Coolum Beach again. 136.8km
Left Coolum Beach to drive back home.. Got to Kempsey as I needed a break so thought might as well fill up. 683.2km (44.60litres)

Kempsey to Home 433.2km - have exactly half a tank left.

Average consumption for the whole trip came in at 7.2Litres/100km according to the trip meter.
Best of 6.6L/100km, worse of 8.8L/100km driving around Brisbane.

Note that I drove on the freeway sections at 130km/h. Used cruise control rarely, wasn't driving to economy at all and had 3 people in the car for the trip back.
Shell V-Power was used for all fill up's and Sport # was on for the whole trip also.

I reckon if I had a jerry can on hand, I would see at least 900km minimum on a single tank of fuel.
I actually find the Lib loves the 130-140km/h cruise. At 3000rpm its just about to come on boost and would sit there all day no troubles at all.

So pretty impressed with the whole lot really.

Nothing at all unless you want to add a HKS panel filter as a mod.

Other than that, the car is as standard as it left the factory.
