Bought a Hyperflow TMIC from another forum member and it really looks like a great cooler! But... It turns out, it does not fit with the aftermarket "bolt-on" turbo's...
Basically... the turbo compressor outlet flange on the GTPumps/Zage turbo is on slightly more of an angle than the stock one and is fouling against the edge of the larger aftermarket TMIC's... here:

Anyways... its all massively rubbish, and I spent 90 mins for nothing tonight trying to get it on there only to be back at square one, albeit with a bit more knowledge!

BUT... Looking now at the ProcessWest TMIC kit for the MY08, I am confident that it will definitely not have the same fitment issues due to the inlet design, so I'm going to try and offload my pile of TMIC's(which will fit no problem with a subaru turbo) and then purchase the ProcessWest one... :)

Jimmy, Jimmy ,Jimmy ......its called modifing for a reasion

just file back some of each part untill they clear and if the comp housing is clocked out of alignment just back the 6 or so bolts off and spin the front cover to suit the cooler angle and retighten the bolts back up.............EASY :D

Hahah... no deal Michael! If that would have worked, I would not have just sold the TMIC...

The compressor outlet needs to be flat to line up with the inlet on the TMIC, so you can't change the angle of the housing... and I don't think that would solve the issue... and it's not really close enough to try and file back the aluminium cooler! (although this would probably work if you filed back enough of the flange on the turbo, and possibly a little off the cooler, but it would be a significant amount that would need to be filed off, enough that I wouldn't be comfortable doing it)
This image shows the Hyperflow fitted with the stock turbo, but basically, on the Zage/GTPumps compressor outlet, the flange is pointing more in towards the centre of the engine, so much so, that it hits the core part hanging down(as shown in the previous photo)...

The Hyperflow is sold now regardless, and having pulled the stock one off to try and fit it, and seeing how it all sits, I'm confident the ProcessWest will fit in there, and with the different inlet design, it won't have the same issue with the turbo flange!
