I did consider a 3.6r instead of the gt and then turbo it up. But after I looked at the specs it seems the GT have overall better parts than the 3.6r that's why I didn't buy that one. I didn't even bothered to test drive it actually.

Just as well you didn't buy the 3.6 with a view of boosting it. To get the extra capacity they increased the stroke so they had to put curved/bent rods in it so they didn't strike the bore.

1 more question. If I just change the rear muffler would it have any impact on performance or sound? I don't like noisy cars but the stock muffler just look too bad. and would the stock gt muffler fit on the my10 impreza RX? because I have a my10 RX as well I bought it 2 month ago for my mum.

Do a search on this forum, rexnet, ozfoz etc, any number of other forums, in regards to MRT warranty and after sales service.

In regards to servicing a tuned car if that is what you are asking. Give Pulse racing in Menai a call. Paul Fisher is the ex-head tuner from MRT. He might give you a more detail info about MRT.

The above video you posted of turboed Lib 3RB was built and tuned by Pulse racing.

Actually is anyone tuning the MY10 yet anyway. I don't think the definitions are out are they. MRT may be your only option at this stage. Whats also worth noting is that one of the people responsible for working out the definitions has now moved on to the 'opposition' so I'm thinking these things may start to dry up unless someone equally as capable steps up to the plate
Edit : actually they do exist I just had a quick look they must have just squeezed them in - lucky !!

If you have a look at the rods Jarrod they aren't offset at all.
It's a common misconception. Most people believe them to be lamb chop shaped and hence the issue.
The rod endcap is rotated for clearance purposes but the centreline of the rod still is still down the guts.
In higher power applications who knows. I can't see why it would be worse other than for balancing.

I'm just going by what Al told me Frank. He thought it made them unsuitable for a forced induction scenario.
