With 2 reasonably competent ppl on the job it took only 45min. :-)
My LVs are back to normal, no knocking and airflow ranges in the blue.
Ill be getting the AEM failsafe hooked up properly (much research done) to enable final tuning for better economy and clean tailpipes FTW.

What do you mean back to normal?
Has your car been knocking on your new tune?

Also keen to see pics on this install thing.

Car has been all over the place as regards this issue: OCV / avcs issues affect a bunch of stuff.
Looked for inlet exhaust leaks with soapy spray, none found but put a turn into the turbo inlet clamp only...
Anyway the lib is working properly right now :) fingeez xxx'd...

Yeah, you should have it accessible on the external sensors list, it also plugs into the audio type jack into op2.0
Running no. of weeks without breaking something in the lib: 0
No. of things still to fix in in the lib: 97

One for the "installing a wideband thread", but I plan to connect it to a serial to USB, then to a passive USB hub shared with the AEM and tactrix, and that goes into the laptop for logging/configuring the AEM failsafe.
Parts are all waiting assembly ;)

Just swapped out Jakes drivers side OCV (bad) with my old passenger side OCV (good).
I forgot to reset his ECU to prompt OCV re calibration but logging showed an improvement regardless.
More soon ;)

Trying to nut out the cause of this issue, the faulty driver side OCV's weep dirtier oil than than those on the passenger side, they are also 2nd in-line on the OCV oil line before it drains back to the sump.
Best theory so far is they see slightly less oil pressure and thus get more clogged.
Ideas?

Hey guys,
New to club liberty asn, just bought an 07 gt spec b manual,
Kms- 40000kms only,
Oil interval change every 12 months by previous owner. (Dont knw what he was thinking)
No Cels
New spark plugs
Run injector cleaner through the car
Did a compression and leak down test and all good
Anyway here are my symptoms:
Cold start vibration at around 1300rpm as its warming up.
Slight hesitation before coming onto full boost.
When warm can feel the car shaking every 3-5 seconds, its not bad but i can feel it through the seats.
When trying to hold the rpm at 1300 in nuetral the rpm jumps up and down between 1100 and 1300 ( car is warm)
When the car warms up it makes this loud ticking noise, gets louder the longer the drive or harder the drive, its seems to be coming from the passenger side head, maybe the avcs solenoid?. The ticking noise is not present on a cold start. When i put a screw driver to the passenger side solenoid it seems to be much louder than the driver side solenoid.
Subaru dealer says it maybe be a clogged avcs line or gummed injectors.
But whats really wierd is the ticking noise when the car gets hot.
Is it easy to pull this solenoid and clean it? Thanks in advance.

Cheers

You can be sure by logging the VVT angles.
Afaik there's no oil filter in the my07+ avcs oil lines or banjos.
It's easy to pull out the OCV solenoids for replacement or inspection.
I'd recommend replacement.
The parts are around usd$200-250 delivered from Celtic.
I can assist with install if local in Melb :)
Gotta do the how to with pics still...

Both OCV's should be $188.50 + $44.10 shipping to AUS ($9 to a US address)
