All good Mark. I can understand your skepticism, especially when it concerns the tuning world. I too have heard many horror stories from Phat and other sources in regards to some of the tuners in Sydney. But there are hardly any tuners who can do the Gen IV Liberty, let alone the MY07+ Liberty. With the exception of the Haltech Interceptor, there's actually no aftermarket ECU unit that was fully compatible with the MY07+ ECU's that didn't require you to give up something. Sure, there's MRT who locks in your ECU and you have to take out a 2nd mortgage on the house to pay for it, but only x2 reputable Sydney tuners that I know of who can do OpenECU tuning for the Libertys. But I directly know the people or have heard stories about all the Libertys that have been to both, and I can tell you both tuners are legit, do the tune themselves, and offer the full service of tuning and dyno runs. Opps, sorry to hijack your thread Ben.

Here we seem to have EcuTek/MRT Reseller (S&J) and....... DIY

1 place has tuned WRX's open source, but results have been very similar to Mark described that looks good on a Dyno, but crap driveability, poor fuelling etc so wouldnt trust him with my Liberty. We have one of the best open source EVO tuners in Oz in Steve Knight (according to EVOOz forum members) BUT we don't have any tuners of Liberties.

I've heard nothing but great results from S&J so you guys are lucky! If Sydney had a similar EcuTek tuner I wouldn't mind sticking with EcuTek.
