Apparently the gear box also has a learning ECU and tries to emulate how you would normally shift when in manual. Most people seem to wind out 1st, 2nd, then get to 130+ in third and go "ok, now I'm pushing a decent fine" and back off. The next time you give her a bit the gear box tries to help and does it for you. Try keeping your foot into it a few times and it should let you keep going. You'll be doing up round 160 so do be careful.
