Dump pipe + Eflex = 200+ on an auto

Even TD04's are over 200Kw with E85, so E70 with a VF46 is achievable

you are the man Matt. :friends:

What about the TMIC? Worth going to W2A or just go a Perrin A2A and be done with it?

Don't wanna rain on anyone's parade but one thing you haven't really mentioned in your requirements is reliable power

Sure Matt can get you to 200 on eflex and stock turbo with exhaust etc

But how reliable and viable is this setup?

You need to remember the stock turbo is not a performance orientated one, so will not be very efficient at higher boosts for very long

Plus the heat it will generate by pushing that hard will eventually increase intake air temps and thus promote detonation

Be careful chasing too much from a stock setup that's all...

Keep in mind my 45lbs / minute compressor on my 2871r only made 196kw atw initially on 98 before Matt's retune. Your stock vf46 would be lucky to be a 30lb/ min compressor

There's a reason people upgrade turbos wen chasing more than 20% power increase on stock figures

Just food for thought

Interesting points Mick. Thanks for that. I'll leave it up to Matt to explain as I am still a noob to these cars.

I don't think Phat makes the DP anymore...you have to double check with him!

Water to air intercooler is a project that is undertaken by those chasing 250kw and above. It costs around 3k unless you weld and install yourself (and it's not a plug and play) and since your auto will start slipping above 210kw - its just - overkill.

I have an avo top mount kinda wishing I got a front mount because now I need to install the water spray to try keep up with front mount power.

Imo you should invest in a new intercooler only if you're planning to run higher boost. Stock tmic is only designed for stock boost. But stock tmic should be fine for 200 kw if you're running normal boost ie up to 15.5ish

Spend money on better suspension to keep up with the power. Once you have 200atw, taking corners with your car doing a 2 wheel (lifting up) is not fun. Your car is not fast, if your suspension doesn't match your power.

If anyone wants to correct anything, go for it :)

Interesting. Sounds to me u reckon I would be better off doing a TBE exhaust, e85 and tune just me to 170kwatw, then just concentrate on suspension. I didn't realise the stock tmic could handle that sort of power.

Agreed about W2A however stock auto doesnt start "slipping" at 210kw if its tuned properly

the first part of your statement i agree with - however stock tmic is NOT good for any power levels above 160atw for longevity

In short spurts yes but remember I mentioned longevity in the above equation

I would have said water to air was for people trying to chase maximum throttle response, seeing as the inlet tract would be about 8 feet shorter than the FMIC. FMIC is still the best option for HP in my opinion, just be aware that it will induce a little lag.
That said. A good bolt on TMIC, a good exhaust and a good tune is all you will need. Don't get too hung up on dyno numbers, otherwise you will just end up sad when you don't meet your targets.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.
