In Sydney there are quite a few sub $30k GTspecB's in 6MT, and just cos its advertised higher doesnt mean sellers wont budge, gotta haggle a bit! A seller is always going price something at the maximum they think they might get for it with the right buyer, however most (normal) people allow room to move for negotiating in their prices. In private sales of cars, people who just shoot down offers will end up having to wait forever for their car to sell till the (cashed up moron) comes along and throws the cash at them for their advertised price.

In the fair amount of cars i have sold myself, i dont think i have ever ONCE got what i advertised it for!!

Dig into the classifieds mate, the right one for you will show up!

+1 There's always about 5-10% haggle!

I'm in Sydney. I've been trawling through sites such as Car Sales, Trading Post and eBay. If you know of any other places to look, I'll be glad to hear about them. :)

I sure do hope so - things are looking quite grim at the moment. :(

Yes.

If you want more low down torque, the 2.5 would be the way to go.
Or the 3.0, but then you are not getting the turbo and less torque in the high end.
The 2.0T probably has more mid range than the 3.0. The 3.0 doesn't really get into things until 3500-4000rpm

I am still finding it difficult to locate a Spec. B, in manual, with less than 100k on it. There are a whole bunch of manual MY05 GT's around, but I am very concerned about the horrid turbo lag. :\

Considering that I don't have a family or 'stuff' to cart around, a sedan is preferred.

I guess I should also point out that I'm on a budget of $30,000. : )

Thanks for your efforts.

aaahhhhh

well money talks...if you went to one of the people selling their GT-B, and put 30k cash in front of them, they might just change their mind.

good luck

Guy who had mine advertised, had it up for about a tenner short of 30k, rang him and offered 27k and it was a deal.

Just ring around, worst anyone can say is no.
