I got 202.7kw from my VF46.....And currently enjoying said power!!
Hub dyno so minus 10% when comparing to a roller dyno. 8)
Yeh I had this "discussion" with the tuner and another totally different tuner/mechanic. They both said that the different is fairly minimal. It would be , at my power levels, only a few kw if that, max 5kw if your lucky.

The only way to tell is for me to jump on a roller and see what happens. But because there is sooooo many variables with dyno's we can get into a looooooonnnggg debate as to actual power and made up power. Cause it can be done on a roller.

The tuner that tuned my car said that there is actually not a lot that you can do on a hub dyno to fudge the figures that wouldn't be completely obvious.

My bum dyno said the car is going like a freakin rocket..... So I have to agree with that.

The only way to tell really is to do a quarter mile run, and work out power from the terminal velocity.

Drags, anyone? :)

You know what..... I wanted to go before but the clutch wasn't up to the task.

Now my tyres , clutch and tune are all up to the task .....so no more excuses!!

Out of interest, what sort of time approximately would a 200wkw liberty do down the quater mile?

And i know theres many variables... just curious to know approx.

High 12, although I know a few in the 180's who have run a high 12. Depends on how wide the torque curve is and whether torque is falling away on gearchange. So if car A has peak torque from 2400rpm to 4800rpm and car B has 3600rpm to 6000rpm, then car A is going to have a quicker 60ft and quicker 1/8mile while car B will shift from 2nd into 3rd and 3rd into 4th gears at say 6400rpm and fall back to around 4000rpm and pickup time in the final 1/8th mile as it is in the torque powerband

Far out.. theres so much more to drag racing than i realised!

High 12's is a pretty good pass. Ive been in V8's that run high 10's and theyre scary so its not too far off them.

And it's the mph that really matters - there's too many variables for et to be an accurate estimator of power.

If quarter mile times were you're ultimate goal, I wouldn't consider the VF52.

The VF52 is just a great all round turbo for a street driven car.

You often hear people say that it's the turbo the libs should've come out with.

It just extends the fun a little further into the rev range whilst the VF46 runs out of puff.

Nah, i have zero interest in running my car down the quater mile.. i was just curious to see what sort of time it would do to compare it to V8's, rotaries and other turbos ive been in that do drag race.

But in daily driving this translates to:

Lag....Lag......Lag........Baaam.....Oh it's over......

Don't worry I'll pass him now sheepishly whilst travelling over the speed limit..

Yeeeaaaahhhh Look who's Boss now.......

I didn't even know we were going for it till I looked over and saw the worried look on your face as I was pulling away.

I'm talking off the lights here. Not rolling starts...

And I slowed down to let you pull away. I didn't want all that soot and crap coming out your exhaust to touch my car.
