Seems I have a TMIC to throttle-body hose issue

The car's suddenly sluggish and chewing fuel. A shame, because it was awesome most of last week.

Given I'm already grabbing a set of MAF and turbo intake hoses form Jackson, I've asked him if he stocks other stuff too.

If he doesn't - where else should I look, and what hoses should I replace while someone is fixing the TMIC to throttle-body hose?

What makes you think it's this hose.

Have you upped the boost significantly during your recent tune so it's popped your hose off?

Before buying anything, I'd be getting a proper diagnosis of what's gone wrong.

If you do need a hose AVO do the best fitting one from experience.

Boost has been increased, yes. I am hearing a high-pitched fluttering sort of sound, particularly under high boost. Otherwise the car is sluggish, like it's running rich (been there, done that before).

The diagnosis isn't complete (though the symptoms seem a good match), and will be finalised early this week (I'm not equipped to pull things apart and check it myself at this stage). It is the most likely candidate though, so I am preparing for it (and even if this isn't the cause right now, the TMIC needs to be pulled to check anyway, and at that point, I might as well replace the hose anyway.

Do you have an aftermarket BOV and air intake? Upping the boost will give you a little flutter from your air intake. Id be checking all your hoses and vac lines for a boost leak, may not necessarily be the TB hose.

Stock intake, Turbosmart Kompact BOV. All easily accessible hoses have been checked.

How about the little vac hose on the inlet runner nearest the oil filler?

Since you suspect a boost side leak, you could try spraying soapy water on the TB hose area to check for bubbles and hissing

Just get someone to rev it whilst you spray

i see you have a DW65 fuel pump. Have you done a learning view? have you checked to see if your running rich?

Yes, learning view has been run - it's pulling a significant amount of fuel (-5.80, -4.50, -3.20, all highlight red) in the "0 < 5.6", "5.6 < 21" and "21 < 80" airflow ranges respectively.

That's the gasket on the end of the hose from the TMIC to the throttle body (TB-end).

I saw a pic of an inlet hose you helped someone rectify. My initial reaction to that picture was "What the actual FSCK?!?!?"...

well done. new TB hose it is.

Advice for now (until I can source a good replacement) is to simply remove the gasket and make sure the hose is reattached nice and tight.

Yeah I twigged when I saw the TMIC still attached...

Lets see... hairspray may help to both ease the hose back on, and more importantly to seal it once its on.
