Noisy Tapet Engine noise 25T

Upper engine clean to resolve or help this issue ?
Carbon holding valves open ?

Opinions and anyone experienced this with above solution ?

this will not do anything for tappet noise in a Subaru they don't have lifters but bucket shims, if you have tappet/valve clearance issues in a Subaru its engine out to set the clearances

why do you think you have this issue?

Hi GB engine sounds noisy ....

I was worried its a bearing or piston noise but was told it was the above in 1st post

Has a mechanic diagnosed it? How many km is your car? What's the servicing history like? It's not normal for surbru engines to get noisy tapets

Yes diagnosed GB on this GTB it has 143k service history perfect in log books...

No thanks not needed will be taking advice of mechanic and expert and do the above.

What has your mechanic advised u then ?
I pulled my engine out to do valve clearances cause they were tight while at it I did the belt and pulleys my pump was only 5 k old so let that slide! If you're planing to do this job I'd do the belt and water pump

Mechanic advised tappets?? How well do they know Subarus? I would recommend getting a 2nd and 3rd opinion.

GB couldn't have put it any simpler.

A stamp in a log book means SWEET FA, your “nosey” engine is great example of that.

2 cans of UEC and a stamp in the log book should fix it.
