Broken front exhaust sensor

Postby jeffas4966 » Sun Sep 20, 2009 2:49 pm

Hi Guys just wondering if you guys had any issues as per above.

When I bought the car (in Qld) as part of the deal I had it ECUTEK'd. The tuner said the sensor was stuffed but Subaru said it was OK. After a bit a hassle it has been changed (so they say) but the tuner reckons it is reading 'slow', is this possible. Currently my car has not been tuned to its potential.

Cheers

Jeff

Its possible...

The o2 sensors 'switch' voltage pretty rapidly, sort of like a sine wave... Sometimes they can do this slowly, its usually a sign of an old/failing o2 sensor.

Hi Jeff. Grab one of the other WA guys and we'll throw the ECUDataScan on it. Should be able to tell you if it's faulty in about 10 seconds flat :)

We're overdue for a meetup anyway...
