STI manifold fit a EJ255?

Postby Jaded5542 » Tue Mar 26, 2019 8:26 am

There's a guy selling an STI manifold, just wondering if it'll fit my 2010 GT? (I just like the look of it over the plastic basically.)

Generally if you have to ask, the answer is no.
Of course it is possible, but would require a lot of modification, fabrication and changing parts, somewhat unnecessarily, pending the proposed scope and budget of your mods.

I asked over on the other forum, they said it would.
Throttle body is in a different spot but they said it was just tinkering work.
The main issue is the intercooler, but I know someone was selling an aftermarket STI type set up for the GT.
For $50 they said buy it and at worst use it for a FMIC set up

Or a nice desk ornament.
The thing is that the stock composite inlet manifold is fine for flow, can be reversed etc.
Depending on what year STi inlet mani it will be some tinkering or a metric crap ton.
As I asked what’s the scope of the project etc?

Purely aesthetics is the main reason.

There's a lot I dislike in terms looks on the Gen5 engine, namely the plastic bits.
Just love that red manifold for some reason.
