Seeking some mod advice for Spec B Wagon for a budget

ECUTEK NOT PROBLEM, TUNE SETTINGS WILL BE.

The way that ECUTEK is locked into the ECU and required specialist assistance (at a cost which is almost always not disclosed to the customer when the ECUTEK tune is implemented) to remove *is* a problem.

Yeah. Majesticcrow knows the 'talk' you get if you consider getting a tune elsewhere after having EcuTek and want it unlocked!!

Now I want a exhaust, brakes, discs and RSB upgrades.

Considering the exhaust CBE system I can prob get something decent and fitted for less than 2k... what can my other 1k be spent on brakes wise?

Oh BTW The tune was extra on this budget haha!

I was looking at bigger wheels to allow from Brembo calipers or similar, but now I am thinking if I find a sweet pad and disc upgrade for the front and rears I should get some decent braking without upgrading the calipers. Any opinions on this matter?

Just do pads n discs. CBE. RSB & HD Mounts & retune.

Brembos are nice, but expensive. The stock GTB brakes are pretty damned good, and with a good set of pads, rotors and some good brake fluid, the car will be stopping very well.

Brembos won't change how quickly you stop. Just pedal feel.

For that you can get some braided brake lines, good compound pads, a cusco or similar brake stopper and you can change your master cylinder to an Sti one to flow more fluid. Pedal feel upgraded

Get a good pad and rotor combo first

And fresh fluid. Old/bad fluid is terrible, and no matter how good your rotors/pads are, bad fluid will reduce your braking capability.

Pads and rotors it is! Fluid recently changed on a service but will put some dot 5.1 in once I upgrade the hoses! Thanks for the advice everyone. Your input here has been awesome!

I am still well happy with my car after the Kido tune I have to say. Still going to go CBE I think as i seen a system I just want! I think I will do RSB & Mounts as Jay said first, then find some rotors and pads, then do the hoses and fluid when swapping them over, after that the CBE then by which time Matt will no doubt be heading over again and then I can get the re tune to fine tune the car for its set up. Nice
