As I understand it, you can get a Kido tune for somewhere under $500. That'd be a great start. Matt allows retunes for upgrades then (to a point I suspect - if you did a turbo replacement and a full TBE and a new TMIC or even a FMIC, that's some pretty serious retuning work to do, and he may charge something for that (or he may not, I won't speak for him). I doubt you can beat a tune in terms of bang-for-buck though (especially if E85 is available to you, though that generally requires injector upgrades too).

If you still want more power after the tune, an exhaust is probably the upgrade to give you the biggest improvement - full TBE by preference, though I believe just a downpipe can have a substantial impact. After that, power increments are relatively small unless you replace the turbo itself.

A tmic upgrade will net more consistent power increase. That would be the next step after the tbe. Otherwise the option for a watersprayer on the stock tmic is another affordable option.

Hey mate

I would do turbo back exhaust (tbe) with resonator and high flow cat

Fuel pump (yes dw65c is a fuel pump although alot have been failing so Investigate this further before purchasing)

Retune with kido Matt

Don't worry about TMIC, cai or intake pipe. The latter may improve transient boost response slightly if a manual (ie boost pickup after gear change) but if auto then absolutely no need if he's only chasing mild power gains
