stock bov

Ok so this is probably a stupid question, but is it possible to put a trumpet on the recirc outlet of the stock bov and put a bung in the end of the return hose on my 08 gtb? Or would that cause problems?

Short answer.... Yes it causes issues

The factory blow off seems to only close under a bit of vacum. Cause if you clost the recirc pipe off and let the blow off vent all the air it burps and stutters !!!

If you semi close off the actual blow off as well it will be ok......ive done this!!

Honestly, buy an adjustable blow off valve and be done with it
Not a Subaru...... Something MUCH better

NOPE..... That's shit too. Bus anyone??

Also the more adjustment to vent to atmosphere the more it backfires...loud!!!....hmm I wonder if the exhaust is throwing flames.

This is because there's less air in the intake than the ECU expects, and it's injecting more fuel than required. Some of that fuel ends up unburned during the combustion process, and then ignites in your exhaust system.

It's doubtful that you're blowing flames though, the ignition point is generally further up the exhaust towards the engine as I understand it.
