Injector upgrades

Postby Cfn_liberty » Fri Apr 19, 2013 3:57 pm

Has anyone done injector upgrades on a 2006 gtb?
I need around 650cc to tune with my new td06-20g
But I'm having trouble finding injectors to suit.
On eBay there is a set of deachwerks 650cc but it says there for
2007-09. Is there really a diffrence in the year models?
I thought they all had the ej255?

Help please?

Just buy some ID1000s. Solved.
Cheap, scale accurately, and perform well.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.

They seem pretty good from what I've read.
But 1000cc is too large for me.
And I'm looking for a set under 400?

You don't have to run them at full capacity :)

That said, injectors are also on my mind... :)

I know you can reduce the amount of the injector you 'use'
But it's much easier to tune at idle and lower down with the right
injector for the application.

I found some nice ones. But I'm unsure of they will fit :(
I see no reason why they wouldn't.
But I don't like wasting money :P

Sounds like you've got a 2006 MY07 GTB. You need to be specific as not being specific is what winds you up with the wrong parts and looking for someone to blame.

Deatchwerks is a US company and I don't think they switched to top feeds until 2007. Regardless, their top feed injectors will fit an MY07 GTB.

IDs are good, but I've tuned a few sets of DWs (including my own car) and they've tuned up well also.

I'd suggest going to the 750s as from memory the price difference is bugger all.

Yeah that's why I was confused cus it is an my07 but registered as an 06'
Ok that's great news and I found a set of 750s and your right.
They are much the same price as the 650s.

Well since you seem to know a bit :P
I have a turbo back 3" exhaust. A silicone intake and pod
Process west top mount. And have 175kwatw
And I'm upgrading to a td06-20g with these new injectors.
What kind of power can I expect?
Because I've seen on here people making 190 with just an exhaust + ect.

From what ive seen a bigger turbo with those supporting mods seem to get people around 200-210kw atw.
But as you know every car is different and it depends how the tuner sets up your car. If youre only interested in peak power though im sure the tuner can get you up there.

Wont you need a new fuel pump to get the full benefits of the injectors?

Manual or auto?

If manual, with the right setup that turbo can make 240kw atw

Auto can still get you there but will require eflex

Go the id1000's - brand new about $550 and will leave plenty remaining if you wanted to upgrade

Now fuel pump I was thinking about. Apparently I won't need one yet but I'm skeptical.
I was going to upgrade it when I did the other mods but we couldn't find the right pump.
Help with that would be great too!!

Hopefully you get over 220kw. 240 would be nice!
