i would get an earlier 2.5 and 6 speed. Just for the better 6 speed.
Will the font mounted turbo off the 2010 fit with the older chassis?
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.

Not a chance.

Engine mount setup is completely different. Where the turbo is underneath at the front is another engine mount, making it a tri-shaped setup. Not going to happen.

Why a 2010 GT setup? You could slap in early STI stuff which is a drop in. Is it a late Gen2 or early Gen3?

the car is a late Gen2, only reason i was going to use the 2010 GT setup was because it came up at a really good price, could you tell me what motor would be best to put in?

Go with something that has been done before over and over, like mentioned a rex/sti motor or even a couple of H6 that have gone in to gen2's

A Gen2 Legacy GT-B cut will go straight in. You could single turbo it or keep it twin turbo. With some tender loving care, the twin turbos can really shine ( as long as everything is replaced, cleaned ect ).

Could also go for around the same year WRX/STI cut.

To get the ball rolling, give Ben at Ichiban Imports a phone call and he can lead you in the right direction, give you prices ect the whole wrap.

I'm located in WA and have been told JWS are the best guys to talk to about subi's, at the moment i want to put a turbo motor in the car don't mind single or twin, i will be building a 2.5 twin turbo motor in a few years to go in the car.

I spoke to Al @ AMAuto about this, and the problem they said I'd face was with the new CAN interfaces and wiring loom... apparently they're not as simple or like the pre-CAN cars

I was looking at 2.0GT/2.5GT-B with the auto box for a Gen2 as well... I'd be interested to hear what your mechanic has to say and if he/she has had any experiencing in doing this?
