Dyno Sheet Request - Blouch 380XT

Postby miller0 » Fri Mar 16, 2012 4:14 pm

Hoping someone here can help me out...

I'm tossing up between the Kando 18G or Blouch 380XT turbo on my 08 GTB.
Only other mod to go along with the turbo will be a TBE.

I'm able to find a dyno sheet for the Kando turbo (http://forum3.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=15693), but none for the 380XT.

Anyone able to help out?

Car AUTO? IF yes = blouch 220-230 atw

Kando 18G - cheap, nasty? might be OR can be, they are okay I guess - cheap power

Blouch 380XT - proven, bolt on, hard to find

There are many other turbos to choose from within the price range of the blouch...If you get the kando....nothing beats it on price

GTPUMPS
BBK
Garrett
VF 52

list goes on and on...

That dyno figure is with a Blouch 380XT is it?

Looks like a huge increase in mid to top end gain - I'm chasing low end torque more than anything, so just not sure if the 380XT is going to be the right choice or not.

Get a VF52. Sounds like what you're looking for. Have you considered it?

I'll be getting one installed in a few weeks if you can wait to see graphs. Or google it for others results.

yes that's my old 380XT setup, the turbo came on boost the same time as the stock turbo and then some after! :)
look at the dyno figure for reference, bare in mind the car was modified heavily to get that figure....so it will be different in yours if you go down the blouch path....

if you want low down power and torque, then what bruce said is ideal....or tune the VF46 with some simple bolt on mods and you'll have 200kw atw with heaps down low

Also is your car an auto or manual?

This may influence your choice.

Mine is a manual.

If I can get away with a simple TBE and tune on the existing VF46, I will.
But if it's worth upgrading the turbo to increase the down low torque, I'll do it - just need to work out what the best turbo for doing this is.

The car is driven daily, so low-mid end torque is definitely in consideration - don't want to sacrifice any. If anything, gain.

Opinions would be very much appreciated... Kando 18G, Blouch 380XT, VF52, etc?
