The older style vf's can make decent power on a 2litre especially when using a vf34 with p20 housing. But on a 2.5 they would be pretty chokey up top.

Personally I don't see any reason to stick to a vf series on a 2.5 when a decent sized turbo can be had for less than 2000 dollars.

Some of the 2 litre guys are running vf36 twin scrolls or vf34 hybrids getting close to 200kw atw.

Yeah i thought they would be a restriction on a 2.5.

Just curious is all.

Have a mate who slapped a VF34/20 on his old RS with the stock 380cc injectors, pumping about 18+psi. Had a power run with IDC at well over 100%.

We used to call his car the "Nade"
