At the high end side of things, you'll have things like the dump pipe, catback, and ECU tune. Then there's the little things like the boost and throttle controller if you're keen on fine tuning the response on the fly without effecting your tune. I once tried getting the tuner to adjust the throttle response via the tune, but that was quite a horrible experience. Let that to the throttle controller hardware.

Depends on how aggressive the requested torque maps get adjusted. I adjusted mine and it gave gear kickdown a much more pleasant and early experience!

Most tuners I talked with said it was a difficult adjustment, and would behave a bit erratic. Are you sure that early kickdown isn't due to the early boost?
