Take it back to subaru. It's a known problem.

I was going to say, Garbo's issue sounds more like a lower control arm bush problem than swaybar. Good link.

Thank you speakafreaka.

I took mine in for it 6mth service and spoke to the Dealership about my problem. They did not seem to know anything about such.

The shimmy is the vibtration issue, which thankfully I have not experienced. What I have seems to be like the wandering complaint they mentioned. The car drives beautifully under 110kph. The dealership did put the tyre pressures up to 36 psi all round. I will try the 38 + 40 mentioned in the article.

I now drive on the highway with the VDC turned off. To me the steering seems heavier in a good way. The dealership was appalled that I did this.

I will keep you updated.

Merry Xmas to all !

Hehe.. turn off the electronics??? OMG! :)

To be honest, my understanding is the VDC only kicks in when things are getting messy, and the VDC light on the dash will flash when it is in action.

I only managed to get it to come on while agressively taking a 15kph hairpin on the way from Jenolan Caves to Oberon, and previously when driving agressively in the snow...

Definitely give the pressures a go :)
