ECUTek on MY10 GT

Looking at the results of from MRT's ECUTek mapping only (no hardware changes) looks like they've resovled the mid range dip i felt on the test drive. Has anyone done this mod, or can they suggest any other better options. $1000 for just a remapped ECU seem a little high (although it is MRT).

Also any idea whether this is still compatible with the SI drive? Would be useful if the SI drive could change mappings completly rather than just throttle response.

If it's a manual, open source ecu definitions are ready to go:

Best option is learn how to do it yourself. If you don't want to do that, then be careful because most tuners seem better at talking and self promotion than tuning. I suspect there are exceptions (parso from here), but it's really hard to work out.

There is physically not enough memory in the ecu to store 3 full sets of maps, but a good tuner can do quite a bit with the SI Drive. And you'll always have 3 modes, unless you hack a custom rom .. which is something waaay beyond this discussion.

Went the Auto option (for the wife's benefit) But understand what your saying about learning for yourself... Have met many a tuner who will blow their own trumpet too much.

As mine is an Auto having just 2 options would be good. Shame their are memory restrictions on the ECU. Having a different mapping for S# would nice...

Actually I have.

After telling the dealer what a festering pile of shit I thought the manual gearbox was, he insisted I drive the auto ... which was worse.

The chassis and engine are not bad, but the gearbox(es) and interior are rubbish. Each to their own on the styling. I could live with the look, if those other things weren't so bad.
