Custom tune is still less than the $1200-1900 he quoted... significantly less. Well under $1K, I was able to get full custom tunes for $650 if people hadn't bailed out...
I meant you can also have a custom tune on the EzyFlash as well if you wish - but they slug you another $800 odd on top of your $1095 Ezyflash charge. So yeah Opensource far cheaper and custom tune in most cases as standard

I should clarify - Ezyflash gives you 3 distinct Maps (nothing like SI Drive which is purely DBW changes (and auto trans changes in the slushbox derivative)
Ezyflash is not like SI drive in that it STORES 3 maps and only 1 is active at any time. You can still use the SI drive on any active map as per normal. But you also have the ability of flashing the ECU at will. Say have a "valet" map which limits the power and/or rev limiter no matter what the driver does with SI modes, a map for low octane fuel incase travelling outback, a OEM map for when it goes in for service
and then your custom tuned modified map?You must be stationary with ignition on to re-flash between maps so is not done on the fly like SI mode changes
Its also a logger etc and can give live parameter measurements. I actually like the idea of the unit, but think its overpriced (especially compared to a laptop and tactrix cable plus a ECUdatascan)and am not familiar with Chiptorques tuner as opposed to other tuners out there with big reputations
Goodluck SuB4Ru - I'll be interested to see the results as I like the product
