Upgraded turbo on 05 GT MT

I've researched high and low, and cannot seem to find the answers to what I'd think would be a simple answer...
"How much is it to upgrade the stock GT twins scroll Turbo?"

I've upgraded the fule system with a Bosch pump and injectors, have a pod intake to replace the panel, turbo back exhaust and Ecutek. I'm looking at getting the Hyperflow TMIC at the very least and a retune, but was curious at what it would cost to take the next step, and can't seem to get a straight answer.

I think this is coz there are a few different turbo choices (maybe??!!).

I'm also wondering if a bigger & better turbo will put too much strain on the stock internals, and I really don't want to go down that path...

I was actually considering selling the Lib until I smoked a mates XR6T, and now I want more...

Help??!!

NOt sure what size but will find out. I have a dyno sheet for 158KW ATW. I've gotta say that I'm struggling to get much help from the shop that did the work here in Perth for me. I've asked them several times for quotes to up horsepower and I never hear back from them, which is why I thought I'd throw it to the forum.

stock injectors will take you up to 180-190 kw atw so why change them?

and ask him what pump he used as i dont know of any bosch fuel pumps that would fit in a 04-05-06 and 07 liberty intank system as it very complicaed piece of equipment

Does anyone know if many people have gone for the VF34 turbo, and what sort of gains they've had?

Also, don't think fuel and injectors have been done. When I originally got the quote for the Lib, the shop I go tht e quote for thought I had a B4

For a turbo youre looking at about $1200 up. Fitting is around $300 to 500 depending on what needs to be done.
And you have all the choices you want but your choices will depend on what further work needs to be done to fit the turbo - eg: new uppipe? new dump pipe? etc etc.

Which shop in perth did u go to?

Maximum motorsport in Malaga did the initial work, and will do the extra stuff. I'm looking at a VF34 and hyperflow TMIC which should get close to 200kw ATW , along with the existing mods (fingers crossed)

The vf34 should get you ver 200kw the injectors will need to be upsized and so will the fuel pump. If you've upgraded your pump with an Sti one then that will only get you 200kw but the one your after would be the walbro as I'm looking to get the same one to fill my surge tank. With the bigger pump and injectors you should see around 215wkw.The vf42(s204) is a twin scoll that will fit straight on and would make around 240wkw but then you need to strengthen the 5-speed and thats not cheap. I went the full PPG set on mine as I figured its best to do it properly rather then just repairing it so that it can break again.
Good Luck

I'll go back to the guys with this as they didn't give me the option of changing the up pipe or dump pipe. Given that I've go the VF34 now, and don't have the $$$ for crazy racing gearboxes, I'll see if I can just get the injectors and pump as 200rwkw will do me just fine (for now)

I went 1000cc/min rochester with magnus fuel rail but even that might not be enough. I was talking to Darryl from ultimate racing in the US and he thinks I may need to go 1200-1600cc/min injectors to get the most out of the turbo but my concern is the idle. I'm also concerned about the turbo kit and how close or if it touches the brake booster. I guess we'll find out soon.
