Dump-pipe Question: Are Man / Auto the same?

appoligies if its been answered a thousand times, but tried searching and came up with nothing.

can a dump-pipe made for an auto fit a manual? and vice-versa?

cars in question are both 04/05 GT Sedans

I know Phat made different dumps for auto and manual applications

Sorry, not same same. You'll need the appropriate version for the transmission that's on the car.

If you look at my thread about fitting Phat's dump, you'll see the auto tranny in the way of the pipe path (I was one of the earlier guinea pigs for Phat's dump and he had made a dump pipe modeled from a manual). They had to cut the pipe and re-do the piping to work around the tranny.

hmmm so alot of buggering around to cut it and make it fit?

bummer :-( will have to wait around for a manual version to pop up
