The guys at the workshop have a 10/2003 Lib GT wagon with auto tranny which has died. It does say B4 on the compliance plate (so I'm a bit confused ) same later model 04,05,06 etc shape however. Does anyone know if the WRX STI bottom end can be bolted in without any issues or is there some bizzare difference in the castings or some crap
The reason I ask is the 2L STI blocks can be bought new for $2400 from Subaru complete with proper forged piston Vs the $3K plus for the LGT 2L bottom end. Its some sort of special I believe. trying to save the owner some dollars
