Hey Guys, just wondering if anyone has had their 100,000Km Service done, mine is up for it next service (a couple of months yet).
Just wondering what people have paid for it, the dealership told me the other day around $1200-1300 is about what to expect. Seems pretty pricey to me.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Your engine has a timing belt which probably requires changing at 100,000. That's going to add about $400-$500 to the regular cost.

Yeah, I know the timing belt needs to be done, I was just wondering if anyone else had been there to see if the quote they gave me was about right.

Or am I the only one here with that many K's on my car?

it will end up costing about $1700, the $1300 quote covers water-pump, oil, coolant and belt..

BUT, more than likely you will have to change a few bearings and oil seals, which means machining of some components also.. they NEVER quote these things.. subaru are great at being Pricks.

Well, I'm I've passed 99000k's this week, so I'll be going in in the next couple of weeks.
I'll be calling all the dealers that are local to me to try and get the best price. I'll let you all know how it goes.

I just got the 100,00km service done, (its got around 72,000km on it and it’s a 03 GT). Service cost $1545 including the injector service. They said it had a large build up of carbon.

ekkkk not cheap, dreading the thought.
Hmm might be good idea to buy bigger injectors when the time comes :P

digging up an old thread.. but my car is at 91k now (05gt)

Wondering if anyone has had someone other than Subaru service their car for the 100k..

I would rather buy the parts myself and give them to a mechanic to fit.. that way I know what is going in (and often is cheaper anyway!)

From what I understand the following is done in a major service:

Timing belt
Acc. Belt
All fluids (including gearbox?)
oil, fuel & air filter
spark plugs

Anything else I have missed?

I had my 100k serice done on my GT at about 90k.

I used Pulse Racing in Sydney.

Paul charged me $950 from memory and did everything.

Great place, good prices and he knows what he's doing.

I decided to switch from Subaru at West Ryde who wanted $1500, so I went to Pulse ever since for anything mechanical wise and have never looked back.

Hey SkoobyGT

Do you happen to have the receipt still? or do you know exactly what was done?

Lots of people mention getting water / oil pumps replaced at the same time.. a 3yr old car with 100k on the clock should not need a new water pump / oil pump surely!

I have already done the cooling system, and also the braking system.. so trying to find someone in perth that will do just the things I need! (and trying to find out exactly what "needs" doing)

Have you actual read the manual? It doesnt mention anything about water or oil pumps being replaced.. nothing about injectors needing to be serviced etc..

So yes, I have read the manual.. and the service manual.. I want "real life" responses :)

I think we all know that Subaru specialise in "value adding" to their service intervals :( bastards!
