Turbo timer

Postby anfs » Tue Jun 02, 2009 12:48 pm

Hey guys,

Was thinking of getting the apexi turbo timer, not to sure if any one has one of these installed?

If so any feed back?

Or any other members using other brands or any recommendations?

Image

just thought that this model was slim and easy to find a mounting spot for.

Turbo timer is not required on this car. It will serve no purpose other than for rice appeal.

From a post of mine in January 2009:
First question is, why do you want a turbo timer? All Subarus post 2000 don't require a turbo timer for the turbo to cool down as it is water cooled (and the water continues flowing) even when the car is off.

Previous thread, which covered turbo timers, is here.

Lol... This topic seems to pop up on a regular basis :P

I still don't think a turbo timer is a bad thing... Maybe it's overkill, but then it's not exactly the most expensive thing to have installed any way.

& they aren't illegal to have... They just have to be wired properly (IE - Linked to the hand break).

I believe libsti (Norm) has that exact turbo timer installed btw :D

It's not a bad thing, it's just unnecessary and redundant.

sec 25 ADR says they are illegal and no mention of them being wired to the hand brake..

anyway ... dont waste your money.. if your concerned about the turbo just cruise the last 2 minutes on your way home .
