ET - 100

Postby DJC » Sat May 16, 2009 4:18 pm

Hi Guys,

Not sure where to post this question, but on my trip computer screen below my cubby bin i've noticed ET - 100 randomly flashing up on the screen whilst driving. I've had a quick look in the manual and online but can't find any mention of what it could be. It only flashes up once, then nothing for a good hour or so. It doesn't seem to be regular at all. Not sure if it's engine related, trip computer related, stereo related...?

Does anyone have any ideas? I've got a MY04 GT if that helps..? :?:

The ET figure on the information panel refers to the amount of time (in hours and minutes) that the car has been running since it was last started. The 100 you are referring to is actually 1:00. It will flash on the hour every hour the car has been running. My guess for why it does that is a bit of a hint "hey, you've been driving for a while, maybe you should think about taking a short break"

Mine will flash the ET on the hour regardless of which data I have the thing displaying (which is usually instantaneous econonmy)

Never seen it... then again my 2003-build MY04 does funny things... like km/litre instead of L/100km... :?

Same, flashes each hour of travel. Mines an 03 built MY04. Maybe I notice it more as I tend to do quite a few long trips. I definitely notice the ring around the fuel gauge flash when it hits the light on stage.

Kev, does yours say L/100km or km/L?

My previous Liberty 2.5 which was a Sept 2003 built MY04 showed fuel consumption in km/l just like yours Clarence. As you can imagine, being used to l/100km, the more I was trying to drive like a nanny, the higher the figured climbed until it dawned on me I was reading it wrong.

My current 2004 built MY05 3.0R shows it in l/100km.
