I've got a tactrix cable at home that works with my MY05 STi on the ODBII connector interface, I'm assuming the libs use the same right?
has anyone here had any experience with self tuning the Liberty ECU using OpenECU or ECUExplorer or the like??
Cheers,
Matt

My tuner uses open source to flash tune my MY07 Liberty. The can bus ecu took a while to crack but an MY06 or earlier has def been cracked by plenty I believe. Have a look at
www.legacygt.com in tuning section and you can see what others have done with open ecu and tactrix cable. Not much on the net for this subject as far as aussie Libs go.

yeah cheers mate - i'll check it out.
I know it's a bit of a black art form - as I tried in vain with my ecu to reprogram it on my STi and it just wouldn't have a bar of it - as far as logging though - it would log all day and all night log - really useful stuff too...
If I can open up the Liberty ECU - I'll definitely post my results.
Cheers,
Matt

well if you have a MY07 onwards then you will need a different one to suit can bus ecu which different to your 05 STI.

Pre-facelifted Liberties can just use OpenECU to flash. I've done it on my car. Don't need to do anything special to 'open' it up.

Does that include the STi ECU?

I haven't tried the STi ECU, but I don't think it matters. The STi one shouldn't be 'locked' in any way, just has different parameters AFAIk.

Sweet as - thanks Tangcla...
ours is a pre-face lift - MY06 model.
I'll be plugging in the cable on the weekend after we get it back from Subaru if they can fix the e-idle problems...
Cheers,
Matt

Did you do the tuning yourself or got a tuner to create the map for you? I'm intersted in increasing the response below 3500rpm and have a tuner here in adelaide willing to do open source tuning for me - I'm just hoping to find some maps he can start with.
Do you know where I can get my hands on the STi Map/Tune, or would you be willing to share your MAP/Tune?
Cheers

Matt,
I just noticed that your wife has an 06 Sti AT - would you mind pulling the ECU ROM and emailing it to me? I would love to see what tuning differences are in place between the stock and STi maps
PM me for an email address if your willing to share
Cheers

P.S. RomRaider looks like a new and updated version of Enginuity, a Java-based application which was seemingly discontinued.
Makes sense as Enginuity only got to 0.4.1b...
edit: Same icon, too! lol. It's definitely newer than Enginuity.
