I have read up on how they all seem to go after a while.

Today i get in and start up with the temp only saying 19c (I know its 29c+/- today) After driving for about 5min it goes to 20c. Another 5min 21c

I have only had it for about 5 days and its been either cold in the morning 17c and i get in in the arvo its 30c

Why this time the slow incline??????

I wouldn't worry too much about that sort of thing mate. The outside temp readings is cars tend to be inaccurate anyway.

The other weekend I was at a mates place, temp in my car was reading 46, temp in my mates car was reading 34... Pretty big difference there... & I know that actual outside temp was sitting around the 40 mark.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong seeing as Subaru gave me the info... The little node near the windscreen on the passenger side is actually the sensor for the outside temp... Doesn't make any sense to me, but that what Subaru told me :P

Yea i'll correct you matty :) your half right. It is a temp sensor of sorts :? for the out side. but it's not for the temp gauge, but for the climate control, its sort of acts as a sun heat compensation.

there is 3 sensors all for the climate control

1. cabin temp should be near the centre console
2. sunlight sensor on top of dash
3. outside air temp sensor, located in front of radiator

climate control does a calculation involving all 3 sensors

i believe the outside temp sensor also does what it is called

So can anyone tell me why my clock has randomly been jumping around 15 minutes either backwards or forwards the past few weeks?
