05 GT Vacuum routing issue

Just had my engine swapped (for a wrecker engine, old one had bad rings) and it appears the guy that did it for me screwed up the vacuum lines.

he had the fuel regulator line hooked upto the bypass valve and the wastegate line strait to the manifold. there is also a line from an actuator at the at the front of the manafold just tucked under.

I have found a couple of diagrams online but they both mention a black tee and a blue tee, both seem to be missing.

That’s for a 2.5t usdm engine but there should be some similarities...
Also try the diagrams on eg opposed forces or your fsm.

The specific areas to check are fpr to inlet mani pass side, turbo compressor to wastegate to boost controller, fuel purge, the latter two at the front of the inlet manifold, and bov ref hose which goes to the rear center of the inlet manifold.

ok, i have sorted the fpr to the port on the side of the intake.

the black t near the turbo exists and 2 of the lines are connected to the turbo as they should be, the 3rd line from the black t goes to a port on the back of the intake manifold.

that leaves the bov (bypass valve on the intercooler) unconnected and a solenoid on the front of the intake unconnected:

that thread you linked to is the one i was looking at for the diagrams. also i have the fsm but have yet to find the vacuum diagram in it, not sure where to look.

Blue plug is boost control solenoid, the one adjacent is map sensor then fuel purge solenoid.

Take a good look at this diagram from the thread I linked above:

You’ll see the diagram is a mashup of a few different pages, eg looking at the inlet manifold from the front and rear, the inlet pipe from the front etc.

Ok, so line from turbo should be going to the "purge valve" under intake (not he port on back of intake)

the disconnected line in my photo should be going to the port on the front of the intake and the other line to "hard line" near the "purge valve"?

the other line from the purge valve should go to a t, then to the back of the manafold and to the "bypass valve" on the intercooler. and one final line from the purge valve under the intake to the intake duct (before turbo) is this correct?

Zoom in on the last pic linked.
Note that it’s for a usdm car, and a 3 port ebcs, not the stock 2 port.

The turbo should have a tee joining the wastegate to the compressor, the long side of the tee goes to the ebcs.

So yeah, I’d take a rough guess and say that disconnected hose on the boost controller goes to the turbo tee.
If not, it’s the return to the inlet.
If you hook it up and test drive it, iirc you will either get boost as usual or only wastegate pressure if wrong way about.

See the second hose on the boost controller?
Trace that back to its termination, hopefully it goes to the intake.

I’ll put out a help request on FB, it’s crucial that you get this hooked up correctly.
Ideally you’d have logging and or a boost gauge for the test drive.

If and when you do test drive it, just ease into it, and back right off if you encounter anomalous behaviour, eg backfires under boost.

I does go back to intake (before turbo) so the disconected one goes to the turbo tee, does that mean that the bypass (on the intercooler) go to the port 9n the back of the manafold?

the car is not currently registered so when i take it for a test drive it will only be to the end of the street anyway.

Yep, pretty much confirmed.

Fpr is just a single hose to side of inlet mani.

Whilst you’re at it, I’d recommend ziptieing all of the little hoses, and check for cracked hoses, especially those in the fuel purge area.
