04 gt idle issues

Postby thirsty » Mon Jul 31, 2017 11:05 am

Hi All.

Just wondering if someone is able to interpret the attached Evoscan log file. I have an idle issues on my car and am not really familiar enough with the data to work out what is happening. Basically the engine idle stumbles every 30secs or so. It hasn't stalled yet but feels like it might sometimes. Any help would be appreciated.

In the absence of someone to interpret this file can someone with Evoscan post a file with the parameters showing what a good idling car should be? I just need to work out which of the data I am getting is bad.

Thanks.

Hey mate.
Get Btssm on android (I'm guessing you use an obd2 connection with your current evoscan setup) then log all the values and upload it to Datazap.me .

That will display your logs nicely and the gurus on here can view any values they suspect might give them an idea about your issue

So I've uploaded a couple of logs to datazap.me. Not sure how to share them but my username is thirsty and the logs are called idle-issue-1 and 2. The shorter one I did just long enough for the issue to happen and the longer one goes for a while capturing multiple occurrences.

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Tony

I should also let you guys know the car also has an issue when under some boost going up long hills - it surges up and down every few seconds the whole time it's under boost. WOT seems OK. I haven't got a log of this yet but will sometime soon.

Looks like the front 02 sensor to me.

Mine would start to play up but never throw a cell. I can spot it easily now as I have a wideband installed.

If you haven't changed it, just do it as the car is quite old now:-

SKU is 64493

SUBARU OEM Air Fuel Sensor 22641 EJ20 Turbo 2003~2006

This is an updated version of the original and seems to last much longer. Don't by an ebay cheapie. May/will throw codes.

Install it, reset ECU and go for a drive so car re-learns. Try and keep it in closed loop.

What's your current setup for logging? ie what cable and app are you using?

I can't seem to see your AFR value on your list

Thanks guys. I am just about to purchase an o2 sensor from that site. I am using evoscan along with the cable from the same guy.
