7.4 is pretty good, I am getting 9.4l/100km's at the moment, i am trying to get it lower by not coming onto boost and using the Fuel eco gauge and shifting before the needle enters yellow in combination with the Green shifter light on the dash.

I think it use to be in the 8's when it ran better down low :( , still working on getting it running better :bad: .

A friend has the same Lib but a sedan, last time I checked her dash display it read 7.4 L/100km's mixed driving  . She didn't even know about the display so don't think it has been reset for a long time  . Amazing economy, all done on Torque, she never revs it out  .

Sorry to burst any bubble, but the dash display is not in l/100, but in km's/l on the prefacelift, dont know of the post facelift. The lower you go the worse your fuel economy is. You want to be over 10's not under. 7.4 is pretty bad.

Using the car as a daily atm im getting 10.5kms per litre average.

I think it changed in the MY05 to L/100kms. As mine has L/100kms

They must of changed it which is more in line with how we judge fuel economy here.

Mines a MY04 and definitely kms/l.

Mine is an MY04 and mine is in l/km. I think i read somewhere you can change it, as in switch between the two, possibly in the owners manual.

In that case, my previous comments could be totally wrong. I'll have to have a look. :D

Mine is a 2005 MY06 model with two types of fuel usage meters, an instant one and an average one (over meters A and B). For interest (auto, no mods, 102k on clock) travelling to and from work (80km zone with 8 sets of lights) i average 10.2 L/KM or between 500 - 600km per tank, various driving style.

Over the last 1000km car is showing average of 10 L/KM

That is pretty good! I drive the exact same car with slightly more km's but with mostly city, West Gate freeway (to and from work) and inner suburb driving I don't think I've never done more than 500km in a tank. I assume I average 13L/100km

Just wondering (apologies if it's a little off topic), where are your rpms sitting at while the car is idle? I think mine might be a bit high since my fuel economy isn't that great. Mine is usually under 1000rpm at about 700-800 but sometimes hovers around 1000k and a little above.

Since my latest Kido tune, I've been consistenly getting between 430 and 450kms to the low fuel light driving to and from the city to work 4 days per week and in traffic.

Also do plenty of short trips to the supermarket etc.

So pretty happy with the result so far.

got 8.9L per 100 in heavy peak hour traffic (around the city - 54.25L for 612klms)

went to Phillip Island the other week and returned 5.8L per 100 on the trip meter, which is normally pretty accurate
