Inspecting an MY06 Liberty GT tuned by STI tomorrow, for possible trade-in of my 2.5i
Frankly put, I'm an I.T. nerd, not a mechanic, and what mechanical knowledge I do have is limited. It's a sad fact, and something I intend to remedy, but it is what it is.
As such, I am here asking you folks - what should I look out for? What in specific should I check for as common issues? - Originally I was going to work on my 2.5i and basically use it as a shell, slowly building it into what I really wanted... but I've made the decision to go for something that starts a little closer to my goals, and so this new Liberty will be the one I stick with, and I want to make sure I spend (the majority ) of my time upgrading it, not patching it up.
I realise this is a little late notice to be asking these questions - but better late than never .
