Idle surging, and loss of power

Postby ngsm111 » Sat Jan 23, 2016 9:40 pm

Sometimes my 04 liberty gt will idle surge while in neutral or park and i think what ever it may be is also causing loss of power. Only seems to happen when its at running temp but only sometimes. Maybe the knock sensor? O2 sensor? MAF? Or all 3 haha?? Just wondering if anyone had had this problem and have fixed it? Due to it happening only half the time i drive the mechanic couldnt see anything on the computer and didnt notice anything when he drove it

Thanks in advance

Use your keywords added to the google site search link in my sig :)
Logging the car will be a good idea with a Tactrix or BtSsm, if Melb I can help out...

Did it just start happening out of the blue or have you recently done some mods or had work done to it??

Check all hoses even intake pipe follow it back to the turbo check everything is plugged in even a hair line crack can cause the engine to run bad. But maf, sparks, o2, bad fuel, injector, fuel pump , vac lines so many stuff can cause this.

So just go to a mechanic if you can't seem to find the problem on your own..
