pete, I am using the coil plug on number 3 cylinder because it is easy to reach with out pulling shit apart. middle pin 1 E33 goes back to pin 12 on B21, is that right?

According to wiring diagram I am looking at the Pin 1 on E33 goes to Pin 15 on B21

Pin 12 on B21 shows it goes to earth on the engine side and connects to Pin 12 B135 on the ECM side?

What wiring diagram are you following?
I have a 2004 Gen4 manual and am in the EN(H4DOTC)(diag) section.

Obvious question but do you get any CELs?

Did you use all sensors and electrical components from the original engine? What about the tune. Has it been altered to accomodate the increased capacity? Just thinking out loud.

Which coils are you using?

There are different dwell times for different coils.

Can you list which parts you used from your original ej20x/y and which parts from the ej257?

Mate, I had a look at your start logs compared to mine and it looks similar. Is that injector pulse width in the logs?

I wonder if you need to alter the "Fueling - Cranking - Injector Pulse Width" and add a little more fuel there. Maybe add 25% across the board (tables A to D). I would have thought though that you'd at least get some sign of ignition after 5 or 6 turns (saw the vid).
